The work was real.
The record isn't.

You know what it took. The research at midnight. The three attempts before it worked. The part you tracked down from a shop on the other side of the world. The moment it finally came together.

Six months later, or six years, that knowledge is gone. Buried in a forum thread nobody can find, reversed chronologically in a feed built to forget, scattered across notes apps that were never meant for this.

There's no dedicated place to document a car build over time, in order, the way it actually happened. Enthusiasts are doing this in Google Docs and Notion. Not because those tools are good at it, but because nothing purpose-built exists yet.

G-Dimension is the logbook your car always deserved. Every decision committed to a permanent record: searchable, always there, exactly where you left it in five years. Even Carfax only captures half the picture: it knows your factory service history, but it knows nothing about your build.

"Here's my car. Here's everything I've done to it, in order, with receipts and photos."

What you get

Log everything, properly.

Every modification, service, and fill-up recorded with part numbers, costs, mileage, photos, and receipts. Organized by your car, searchable, and permanent, not a half-remembered note nobody can find in two years.

The history goes with the car.

Selling? Transfer the car to the buyer's G-Dimension account and its whole record moves with it: every mod, service, receipt, and photo. Your plate number and what you paid stay with you, and the car stays in your garage as a sold keepsake.

See how far you've come.

Once the record is there, your timeline writes itself. Every modification in sequence from day one, a permanent visual story of the build that you'll actually want to share.

Every car. No limits.

Every car you own and every entry you make, with no cap on either. Many build trackers stop at one car on their free plan. G-Dimension is free to start, and there's no credit card to enter.

Questions

What G-Dimension is,
answered plainly.

What is G-Dimension?

G-Dimension is a digital build journal and maintenance logbook for car enthusiasts. It keeps every modification, part, service, receipt, and photo for your car in one permanent, searchable place, organized by car and in the order it actually happened. Think of it as the dedicated logbook your car always deserved, instead of scattered forum threads, notes apps, and a social feed built to forget.

How is G-Dimension different from Instagram or a forum thread?

Instagram and forums are built for conversation and reverse-chronological feeds, not for keeping a permanent, ordered record of one car. G-Dimension organizes everything by your car and in the sequence it happened, so your full build history stays searchable and intact for years instead of getting buried. It is a structured logbook, not a social feed.

Can I track multiple cars?

Yes. G-Dimension is built around a garage, so you can keep a separate, complete build journal for every car you own. Each modification, service record, part, and timeline entry stays tied to the specific car it belongs to. There is no limit on how many cars you add.

Is G-Dimension a mobile app?

G-Dimension is a mobile-first web app that runs in any browser and installs to your phone's home screen like a native app. There is nothing to download from an app store. You can start on your phone or computer today at gdimension.app.

Is G-Dimension free?

Yes. G-Dimension is free to start. You can create an account, add your cars, and start documenting your builds at no cost, with no cap on cars or entries.

Can I share my build with other people?

Yes. Every build gets a clean public profile at gdimension.app/builds/your-username that shows your car, specs, modifications, and timeline. You control what is public, and you can share the link anywhere.

Is my build data private?

Your data is private by default and you choose exactly what appears on your public profile. Sensitive details like receipts, purchase price, VIN, license plate, and documents are always kept private and never shown publicly.

Can I export my build history?

Yes. G-Dimension turns your build sheet and service history into a build report PDF: the car's photo, VIN, and specs, every modification and service in order with dates and mileage, costs if you choose to include them, and a QR code that opens your public build page. Hand it to a buyer or keep it for your records. Your documentation belongs to you.

What can I log in G-Dimension?

You can record modifications with part numbers and specs, maintenance and service history, detailing sessions, fuel fill-ups, parts you own, receipts, costs, mileage, photos, and free-form timeline entries. Everything is organized by car and grouped into a build sheet across Power, Chassis, Exterior, and Interior.

Does documenting a build add value when it's time to sell?

A fully documented build helps justify your asking price. Handing a buyer a complete record, with every part, cost, and photo backed by receipts, proves the work was done and builds trust that a pile of unlabeled photos cannot. With G-Dimension you can hand over the record itself, by transferring the car to the buyer's account.

What happens to my build when I sell the car?

You can transfer the car to the buyer's G-Dimension account. Once they accept, its whole history moves with it: modifications, service records, the timeline, documents, receipts, and photos. Your license plate and purchase price are cleared first, while the VIN and the car's origin story stay with the car. You keep a read-only sold card of the car as you knew it, linked to the new owner's build.

Is G-Dimension a car mod tracker?

Yes. G-Dimension is a modification tracker at its core. Every mod is logged with its brand, part number, category, specs, cost, install date, mileage, photos, and receipt, then grouped into a build sheet across Power, Chassis, Exterior, and Interior. Unlike a generic vehicle mod tracker, it keeps the mods in the order you installed them, so the record reads as the build's actual history.

What is a car build sheet?

A car build sheet is a list of every modification on a car, grouped by area, with the brand and part for each. G-Dimension builds yours as you log mods, grouped into Power, Chassis, Exterior, and Interior, and keeps it current. Read the full guide to car build sheets.

Can I use it as a vehicle service history tracker?

Yes. Alongside modifications, G-Dimension keeps a full maintenance and service history for each car: oil changes, scheduled service, shop invoices with parts and labor separated, detailing sessions, mileage at the time of service, and the receipt for each one. That gives you a complete service record for a modified car, which a factory history report like Carfax does not cover.

Does it work for a project car or a restoration?

Yes. A project car build is exactly what the timeline is for. You can log parts you have bought but not installed yet in the Parts Bin, keep a wishlist of what is next, write free-form entries as the work happens, and watch the build assemble itself in order from the day you bought the car. Nothing expires and nothing is buried, so a restoration that runs for years stays readable from the first entry to the last.

Is G-Dimension available yet?

Yes. G-Dimension is live now. You can sign up and start building today, and new features keep arriving.
