The TOM’S Racing strut bar for the UCF30/31 Celsior/LS 430 was something I was trying to get my hands on for a while. These popped up every once in a blue moon on YAJ (Yahoo Auctions Japan). When one was finally available I jumped on it. Unfortunately, it had quite a bit of damage on it. Deep scratches, scuffs, missing emblem, it has definitely seen better days. I spoke to a buddy of mine in the LS community who recommended a good powder coating company. They were able to re-coat it to the EXACT same color and it came out beautifully. The last time: find a new emblem. Unfortunately, those emblems were discontinued so finding one was near impossible. Looking into getting a company to remake one also costed a pretty penny. However, A’PEXi in Orange let me know TOM’S were releasing new emblems. Although it didn’t look exactly like the original, the new design actually fit much better!

The TOM'S Racing VP-5 forged aluminum wheels. Highly sought after, especially in the 19 in diamond-cut finish. After spending months looking for these wheels on YAJ (Yahoo Auctions Japan), a set finally came up. I still remember when FedEx came and dropped them off while I was cleaning the LS. The delivery guy said "Oh, I think we got something special for you." He opened the back of the truck and I just see 4 big packages. Right away I knew what was finally here after 3 long months of travel by sea: my wheels! As soon as I could, I went to my local tire guy, slapped on some Hankook Ventus V12 evo's for a good deal and called it a day.
The beginning
Purchased this car out in Pico Rivera. Was in the market for something comfortable, yet, fun to drive. Did a lot of research and decided on the LS 430. I went for a few test drives with other cars. But this one I felt was special. The exterior was beautiful and because it had the Sport package, it wasn't as bouncy as the UL. I knew this was the one. I went with my buddy Kyle and we picked it up as soon as I could.
1st Major Detail
Whenever I purchase my car I like to do two major things: a good detail and a thorough service. After purchasing her she was actually in excellent shape from the beginning! But I tend to be a bit more "anal" when it comes to keeping my cars clean. With my go-to products, Adam, I did a full exterior cleaning including clay, wax and a good ceramic coating. Going into the interior, being mostly grey, it seems as though the previous owner kept the inside nice and tidy. After a simple wipedown, leather conditioning and a good vacuum she was ready to go! Next stop is getting her serviced.
First detailed service and inspection
After purchasing the car and doing a full detail, it was time to get her looked over to ensure she is ready for the road. I had Toyota Masters check all the fluids and replaced what was necessary. They also did a thorough inspection and found the belts had recently been replaced. Nothing major needed at this time.
